I think this is what we call "causality". Moving an electric charge which was at rest (versus us) makes charge space contract as prescribed by Lorents transformations (coordinate transformation from moving to non moving reference system), thus makes electric field to be more dense in the direction of motion. This differense in electric field is what we call "magnetic field". By other words, moving of electric charge "causes" or "creates" a magnetic field. |
