Or for cancer? Why do we need drugs at all then?

I presume you know why placibo has SOME effect: it is simply NOT placibo, but your own biochemistry which fights desease a little more agressive when your brain is calm rather than when it is in panic state and on top of fighting with the desease have to allocate some chemical recourses to neutralise chemical waste from cells in panic state.
