Why I should keep speaking of God? It's
essential to overview science and application
--and you're right, it can result in bad times
or good. But denying it, you also offer your
version of "overview science." That IS your God.

I respect math and I respect you.
But physics does not successfully predict
what humans do or think in many applications.

No "hand" of God is usually shown, but MIND
is now moving the biosphere around faster than
natural selection never did...for better or worse
Whether it is higher MIND is debatable....like science. We should want higher MIND on this.

Highly respected science passes the muster.
Your points are well taken...in many instances,
the Gods don't seem supported by evidence.
However, Jesus' story supports several principles of science, including
...withholding judgement to allow new thought
...allowing argument with authority
...service to humanity (see Pasteur's Creed)
...teaching the truth as well as you can
...the possiblity of greatly exceeding dogmas

Whether you believe he did "magic" or not
or even "resurrected" or not, his own story
(and not what others did in his name) has
foundational presence in the rise of modern
science. Note that the Orient fell far
behind the western world until recent times.

This is not a dogma. It is communication.
Mike
