I suppose I didn't realize the impact of having full HTML operation within our posts until one of the new posters began implementing more sophisticated HTML within their posts. It seems to me that a poster could design their post to automatically go to their site (with cookies, new tracking software, etc) just by opening up their post to read. I find this a security concern since I do not open up every website if I do not recognize the site.

I suppose what I am asking is whether there is anything to prevent a poster from transferring to other sites without our knowledge or acceptance (of course having the option is great, but I want to have the choice to do so).

If not, then I think I'm gonna jump off this site even though I enjoy it immensely. Web security of my system and interacting with other posters with anonymity is an important issue for me.

Warm regards, Harv
