Cookies got a bad rap from the press who frequently amaze us all with their lack of technical expertise in just about everything except movie stars.

I use cookies here (just two) so you can login securely. They are set to expire after 30 days; This is why you have to re-login every so often. I have been asked to set these to infinite expire time. What do you think?

Other than for login, I don't monitor all that much. The cookies only function for a site called www.astronomy.net so they don't do spooky things while you visit other sites.

John
