I'm just a very interested amateur who has worked through several text on the subject. It must have been an interesting lecture that you attended. Michael Turner's opinions must somehow be linked to the excellent work he has done as a physicist, regardless of what Alex thinks. I've read several papers authored by Turner with the latest being his summation (what we know) about modern cosmology. Thats not the title

If you do a search at lanl for all categories and all years you get quite an impressive list for author Michael Turner.
