I Wanted To Say That Definition Of "ego" Depends On Society.

in a jungle you will not be percieved as egoistic when you eat everything eadible which comes across. In more "civilized" society it is considered highly egoistic to not respect life or interests of neighbors.

But it, after all, is a genetic survival trait: promptly eat (beat, grab, etc...) or be promptly eaten (beaten, grabbed, etc...). Thus, it is quite obviousely that you can suppress an ego in civilized society, but can not get rid of it because it is genetic. It takes a couple millions of years (or a gene therapy) to build more or less altruistic civilization.
