I agree with you on this very much.
Still, exceptions exist...
1) Your personal life must have some serendipity.
2) the DNA molecule has segments which appear to have no purpose. But we cannot presume to snip them out while the cell is living.
3) Wasn't Russia noted for some of the world's longest, most detailed works of fiction,
including some very respectable world classics?
