I think I have figured out essentially what he has done. (See topic above)(I know I need to condense it).

It's really a case of seing reality as a set not of numbers; but of ratios betwen "numbers of 'jumps' "; using a 'dimensionless' 'quantum ruler'; that is; looking at the relativity between one set of jumps and another.

The answer to the puzzles in physics is "freedom is the measuring-ruler"; that's why there are always alternatives. Everything is built out of freedom; to exist is to be free, it appears.
