Thanks for your thoughtful response.

There have been dramatic developments in recent days regarding my understanding (I think) of what Dick has done. It started with noticing something about a bicycle wheel! I haven't revisited his paper since, but from what I recall
of it, and his various comments in discussion, I might even venture to say that Schrodinger's cat
just got out of the box!

The cool thing is: it's not crazy! The explanation
of things like the double slit experiment are
completely sensible- it just required 'doing one's
homework', it seems.

Sorry about the long post (99 numbered little paragraphs) of the new topic I posted; but I just wanted to get something in print.

I can try to condense to a handful of paragraphs the keys I think to Dick's paper.
Thanks for the info. about Penrose's more recent book.
