Hi Harv and Dick,

I greatly enjoy and appreciate the dialog between you two. From my outside perspective, it is clear that neither of you is making a lot of progress in understanding the other. It seems that neither of you have that particular objective in mind. Instead, your objective seems to be to get the other guy to understand you.

That works very well for those of us readers who are following your dialog. Each of you are doing a great job of explaining your perspective, and I, for one, am learning a great deal from both of you. Thank you for putting in the effort that you do.

Harv, I feel compelled to let you know that Dick is recovering from a nasty fall and it is my guess that he was in a lot of physical pain when he composed some of those remarks to you. Please forgive him for his choice of language.

Dick, if I might offer a suggestion: Give those pain pills a little more time to work before you start typing.

Whatever you do, keep the dialog going.
