Thanks, Alan. Please pardon the relaxed speech.
My typing fingers mighta feel asleep for a min' there. Why should some correspondents forget there might be humans in the universe...even a countable number of them? Here's my hypoguessis:
This list could be
1) a place to harvest physics theory from competent though cranky scientists;
2) a place for our shadow sides to frolic. For example, many "scientists" here seem to have donned the "mantle of science" so they could imagine they wear a "mantle of authority."

It's hilarious, but that's how some of us
imprinted on life.
E.M. Forster wrote in What I Believe" "Science, which ought to have ruled, plays the subservient pimp." I liked the essay but that line always throws me.

I notice you thoroughly read
and comprehend some of the correspondence here
and offer detailed analysis. That's kindaneat.
