What Is Your Field?

The most interesting aspect of the two links provided above, actually the same link twice, is the following quote:

"However, there is a tendency to rush to
judgement in fields other than our own. "

The strong implication of this quote is that believe that you have a field. Please let us know what it is so that as you say in the quote we will not judge you unfairly when you stray from that field. I recall from one of your posts that your credentials come from "floating in the universe", whatever that means. Could you provide a specific field, either professional or academic?
