Why I Find Dick's Paper Interesting

If you've been reading responses regarding Dick's paper, I thought it might be interesting as to why this paper has received so much attention. The reason, of course, is that Dick is very eager to make forum attendents aware of his paper, but part a perhaps even larger part is how his paper cuts right to the heart of science.

His paper touches upon many issues dealing with science, and for that reason it makes for interesting debate. Although I find the paper hopelessly flawed, I marvel at how these issues reflect where many of the debates and misunderstanding in science arises. The issue isn't that people disagree with Dick, the issue is how and why people disagree with him.

That's what makes this paper so interesting.

Warm regards, Harv
