: : : : : Why does anything need proof? Did you people ever think that God's Creator could be Man. A kind of Man who didn't have any faith, so he had to create a Creator whom created him and the Universe, just to have some proof as to how it came about. If you really analyze it, it could go in a big circle, and you'd never know who created who. Does it really matter? As long as you have faith, why do you need proof and facts about something that happened so long ago that it has no effect on you anyhow. Are you all just so bored that you have to talk in circles about something so trivial as who created God. If you just had faith in him, you wouldn't need to question the beginnings of his existance.

This is an interesting discussion, but this needed a reply. Why does anything need proof? Because without it, we could qualify any belief as true. Think of 6 billion humans running around saying that 2 + 2 does not equal 4, but some other number. Proof is most necessary for people to decide on a common reality.

Does it really matter? Yes, it does. If it didn't, why would the greatest thinkers throughout the ages ponder the Creator/Man question? Even though it happened so long ago, it VERY much affects the attitude and perception of the world by society today. How would society act if the large majority of people didn't believe in a higher being/creator?

Most religions today do not agree with blind faith. Most allow for questions of faith. Even they realize how strong a faith can be after surviving an honest questioning!

(But I ask "Can one survive without proof?" :)
