A parable
I know the human body carries about three pounds of non-human microorganisms. They all have needs and most perform vital functions. Each has its own genetic history. I respect that.
But no way should we let some of them run amok just to be understanding. No, I am not saying
Alexander is a microbe. You and I and Alexander are all representing small units. If we equalize everything, saying "those who have better manners must give part of their energy to those who have poor manners," we will fail to improve manners over-all.
Anyway, how do you know I was raised to be tolerant? And are you saying it was better science to be raised so? Some people around me seem to assume I am partly guilty for the crimes of other persons in other times and places, based on my apparent ethnicity. Should I be tolerant of persons who are strangers to reason and knowledge, and who speak ill of me without justification? Of course, I must forgive them, but I can also answer back.
