(Moreover, incerting "drivers" makes things much more messy - then you'll have to explain how "driver" works too. And to only later find that "driver" is not needed - again math explains events naturally).

You example relating water surface waves with manifold is incorrect, by the way. Water surface waves are TRANSVERSE waves, they by definition REQUIRE transverse degree of freedom. Indeed, at close look on the motion of surface molecules you will find that they move over elliptical trajectories, so in 2-nd dimension (up-down) as well. Namely because of existence of this dimension we have transverse wave.

By the way, you did not answer why we only have inverse square law? Where is large 4-th dimension of space (4-th degree of freedom)? So far all you did was long explanation that egg has a shell, without relationship to lack of forth (and higher) dimension in our physical world.

Feel free to write differential geometry equation in higher dimensions to support your idea of existence of large higher dimensions - I know topology.
