| I Have Known About 2, 3, And 4 Dimensions, But...

I have never heard of anything other than 2, 3, or 4 dimensions. Can you tell me about, or give me a link to the "string theory"(and the fractional dimension theory, if you can)? I am interested in them for two reasons. One is that they contradict what I have been told thus far in my life. Reason two is because the concept of anything other than 2, 3, or 4 dimensions is new to me. I am always in search of new and different ideas about everything.
