: Greg: : The Truth would be that which solved all the contradictions.

: Beelzebub: : Could my theory (reply to tenacious' "same ol' same ol') be true? When yes, then it's very close to the Truth, isn't it? It solves all the contradictions.

: Greg: : (quoting from your post to tenacious): : He created the universe in such a manner that all will happen that is necessary to reach the final condition.

: God switched the machine on and now it runs.

: We go through joy and pain, and in the end we will stay into the True Light.

: He has chosen the best way to reach the final level. What we will get at the end will compensates for all. We must go through the dark to really understand the blissfulness. Pain is not only bad, it has also a good side! The dosed suffering prepares us for the light. When the heavenly light will penetrate the formed souls, then the Miracle is done. Only a soul which knows the darkness(pain), can really enjoy the Light!

: Greg: : I picked out of your post what I felt was True. Your understanding of the above is very worthwhile. The rest of the post needs much improvement. Your understanding of God is woefully inadequate, but at least your coming at it from the right perspective, as it is seen from God's point of view.

: A few thoughts that may help you better understand.

: First, even though God's Creation is as He Created it, with God's Final Condition in mind, WithiN the confines of that Creation, we can still have Free-Will, because it doesn't matter. There is nothing we can do to significantly alter it. : Secondly, even though God is All Powerful, doesn't mean He has to use it. He is willing to yield. :o) This is a tenet of taoism, the path which I aspire to follow. The mighty oak, firmly rooted in the ground, is unyielding. Yet when the High Wind blows, the mighty oak is uprooted. The reed is only lightly rooted in the ground, yet when the High Wind blows, the reed yields, and thus it endures. God Prefers to Be as the reed, rather then the might oak. Everything Will Be as He Wills it in the end, or it will not be. :o)

: Thirdly, you should aspire to appreciate humility, in place of vanity. To quote you, "God is so interested in us, because we are great!"

: While we are very worthwhile, God provided the means by which we have become so worthwhile, and He, better then any, knows how much further we have to go, and that's a long way yet. His interest is in helping us along the way. In Humility, we might aspire to become, even as He. In vanity, we shall surely fall short of the mark. :o(

: With the level of understanding you have above, You really should aspire to get to know God better, You would make a fine Taoist. :o)

Beelzebub: First: No no no, we can not have a free Will! With god or without god, all is a consequence of the last moment! Would we have a free Will that would be a proof for a higher being, because then we would break the wall of logic (cause and consequence). But a free Will would also proof that there is no God! A God must be all knowing, otherwise he is not a god! That's why...that's why...hmmmmmm...grrrrrrr...ok ok, I have no argument for the nonexistence of a free Will with God! But I will have sometime!I must think about that!!! But one thing is sure: A free Will would be a proof for souls, perhaps for God too. But nobody can ever proof a free will!

Secondly: You are Taoist? That explains your stories about the rainbow and the grain...LOL. But that is better than to talk about Jesus and the other funny guys. I have only rudimentary knowledge about taoism, perhaps I will change that...sometime! :)=)

Thirdly: Sure, humility is the most important trait, that is even compatible with the laws of logic! But now we live in the age of capitalism - the humble people will be eaten! But that will change...after the revolution...LOL With "we are great" I meant compared to the usual matter. It's melodramatic for: "we have souls".

What are the rules to be a good Taoist?

PS: I will come back to the free Will, that is sure!
