Hi Luis,

A space station is of prime importance in the overall effort of exploring and colonizing space. This is well known to space engineers, and was at the time of the Apollo program. Wiser heads argued with Kennedy on the trade-offs between a quick dash to the moon versus a more reasonable longer term effort which would mean a space station first. Kennedy had the power and prevailed.

I would say the hare dashed past the tortoise and made it to the moon. Not long afterward the tortoise went bankrupt and collapsed. Its space station outlasted the regime of its builders.

Hopefully we can now get on a more reasonable track: dispense with racing and start cooperating. I think we have made great strides in that direction.

Warm regards,

Paul
