Alex,

Inside the front cover of Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot (hardbound version) is a comparison of Soviet vs. American space firsts. I think if there were any sort of "US propaganda" this would have been disallowed.

We tend to 'see' exactly what we want to 'see.' Thus conspiracy theorists find 'justification,' religious zealots find 'miracles,' and expatriot Soviets find 'propaganda.' It's all in the eye of the beholder.

I don't blame you for defending one of your country's (few) areas of superiority, but if you wish to come across as believable, you should stop accusing the U.S. of such petty communist practices.

Oh, and brush up on the Bill of Rights.
