As hateful as it is, speech never killed anyone. I know there are some real a-holes in here (I'm arguably one of these), but ultimately, I believe, any speech is a good thing.

One -- if someone has bizarre ideas and perceives no way of getting these ideas aired, he will resort to more potent means of 'being heard.'

Two -- if we can learn to defend ourselves in the presence of rudeness, then we are that much more prepared for our "real" lives (meaning off-line interactions).

Three -- the whole blowing-off-steam factor. It's great not to have to kick my dog anymore! (Just kidding... I still kick my dog)
