Hi Paul,

Belief involves free choice: you choose your probability threshold, you choose what you will 'bank on', you choose to take a coat or umbrella with you based on your FREE choice about believing the weather forecast. You ARE RESPONSIBLE for your beliefs.

Thomas Szasz does a good job in defending "responsibility" from those who attack it in "Insanity. The Idea And Its Consequences".

"Crazy" people ARE responsible for and should be held responsible for their beliefs and actions.
