At one time or another... had actualy mad a mochery of definition of life (at the time).

LIFE: Self organising system capable of replicate procreation and adapting to environment.

John then proceeded to write a computer program that did just that!

Random sequences of numbers were able to "seed" certain patterns of organized numbers according to some algorithm; therefore, system "self organized".
Next... the "seeds" would proceed to "replicate" themselves, which produced yet more seeds and hence exponential population growth of "organized number patterns".
Finally... "number seeds" were able to alter the algorithm which produced them... thereby being able to "cope" with increasing amount of competing "seeds" (environmental adaptation).

John pointed to his laptop and said, "Look... life!"
