A perfectly spherical ball rolling on a razor's edge will fall one way or another. This symmetrical situation must be broken with a 'decision'.

Similarly, the universe emerged from a symmetrical state where the symmetry was spontaneously broken due to some asymmetrical element that existed. If the laws of physics emerged from perfect symmetry, then there must be something else that broke the perfect symmetry.

Therefore, the universe cannot all be due to symmetry. There must be something else.
