Can you chop up an electron or a proton?

We all know that a photon energy is defined by the frequency of em waves. Chopping a beam cannot change is frequency. So the quantity we call a photon cannot change by chopping it up. But the fact that what you call a photon can be chopped up proves that it is not an elementary particle.

BTW, I think that someday we will have the technology to chop up electron waves and then we will have proved that electrons are primarily waves or fields and not particles. Same for all other so-called particles. Actually the double slit electron wave experiments already prove that electrons are not particles any more than photons are in my opinion.
