That's very true...

We say "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" whilst the whole time munching away on a poor cow's hamburger meat...

We should reword the golden rule as "do unto other intelligent entities as you would have them do unto you... that is, if you your self are intelligent"

I don't think a lion or cheetah would much care for "legal-system" when it comes to "kidnapping" a human ladie's child and eating him....

Of course... you don't have many wild animals locked up in state penetentiary awaiting parol eligability...

Us humans really do live by "law of the jungle", however, some of us simply refrain from putting ourself at risk of the "man with the big guns" kicking our door in and whisking us off to a big cage (state prison). Therefore we liken to act "more civilized", but ultimately we're all completely and utterly free to do as we choose, however, so is the "man with the guns" (government) free to do as he chosses when it comes time to pick us up. We live in an anarchistic jungle if you look at it from that perspective... there's no such thing as right or wrong... the Earth is ruled by "law of evolution" (survival instinct) hence we have war in Afghanistan to preserve "American Species"...
