There is no such things as "collpse wave into particle", there is set of descrete allowed by math levels of energy of oscillations (including waves).

Not to say about neurons communicating with each other by electric pulses and switching each other from dormant to exited sate.

If those are cells responsible for sound processing, their exited sate is what you call "I hear a sound", if vision neurons - you call it "I see an image" and so on.

There should be good places on internet explaining how brain works (like biology texts or so).
