Anyway, the whole thing on this site seems to have become a debate which says its either this or that; god or math

It would indeed be just a matter of opinions if not small detail: math works and God does not (even literally).

The reason why - because what we call "natural laws" are simply mathematical (=logical)identities of various mathematical symmetries. Somehow (we yet do not know how, but scientists are working on it too) what we call "space-time" happens to be very symmetric "object" - meaning that NOTHING in universe depends on it (so, it does not matter where or when you are - everything goes the same way regardless your space-time location). As a mathematical consequence - the natural laws which govern all around in universe.

So, in essence we can correct Einstein a little by saying that "God does not play at all".
