You are confusing philosophy with thinking. We don't need philosophers to teach us how to think, we can figure that out for ourselves, thank you.

Philosophers are the only people who believe in the myth that philosophers steer society. In reality a successful philosopher, like a successful politician, is nothing more than an opportunist who benefits from the zeitgeist. As soon as the social conditions change their opinions go out of fashion.

Your claim that science was invented/is supported by philosophers is ridiculous. Science is a product of rational thought and empiricism, nothing else. Neither is the exclusive domain of philosophy, and neither is affected by what philosophers have to say. To tell a scientist to learn epistemology before he can tackle his work, as you did here, is preposterous, it's like telling the person he doesn't know how to think.
