I have bold-faced all of my own changes...

For years men and women have pondered the nature of static charge quantum field exchange. Many posit the existence of the virtual particle . Although empirical verification of the virtual particle has proven to be a futile endeavor, many arrive at its existence -- via logic. Yet, the fact remains: we have no direct proof of the virtual particle's existence. Through some leap of faith, there are many who think the circumstantial evidence is sufficient...

Virtual particles are a means of communicating force because they fit the mathematical mold... Yet they can't be observed because they erupt and vanish in an instant, and they're zero-energy quantum states. So they exist... but you'll never be able to see 'em HOW CONVENIENT!
