Hi Mark and Alex,

You made an excellent argument, Mark. I tried, and failed to argue this same line of reasoning with Alex a while ago. Alex, you may remember our conversation about whether that pilot of the helicopter actually had any conscious control of his flight from A to B.

I think Mark has pointed out the "wiggle room" where some conscious agent (Santa Claus or whatever) could influence the outcome of events without violating the laws of physics: In setting the initial conditions for the big bang, and in influencing the behavior of quantum interactions which seem to us to be random.
