bzrd: "Modern man" brain size 1350cc, "Neanderthal man" 1740cc. I suppose there is an evolutionary answer for this???? Greg: Modern Man and Neanderthal Man evolved along two differents branches of the same evolutionary line. Neanderthal Man evolved along a branch suited to the ice age, while modern man evolved along a branch suited to temperate climates. Modern Man is not a direct descendant of Neanderthal Man, who evolved along a line that came from further north.
