Look, I realize where you are coming from. I don't like people attacking my ideas, either. But it happens. And as long as it happens civilly, I'm fine. I think you blow things out of proportion when people disagree with you on even simple issues. You often come across as abrasive and abusive. I know you don't often mean to, but you do.
