Hey Yanniru. Howz it goin'? Let's cut to the chase shall we?

You said: "The universe is infinite. Time goes infinitely into the past. God is everything and is therefore infinite. The consciousness of God, at least the portion revealed to man, is a little less than infinite, and does not even understand him/herself according to Isaiah. That quote from Isaiah is a key statement in the Bible. It suggests that God is the truth, but may not know it or be able to express it, as in the Bible."

If what you say is true, then theist cannot profess that God is all-knowing (because he doesn't know where he came from). This is certainly contradictory to what I've learned of Christianity. However, the fact that inconsistencies exist within the bible don't surprise me. In fact, the numerous bible contradictions are one of the reasons why I left the faith. Of course, one would expect that each of the individuals who contributed to the bible had differing views on God, so it's not surprising that there seem to be passages preaching polar opposites in the bible. It would however, be very surprising to find inconsistencies in a bible that was written directly from God (or a single author).
