Because some eyes may reed the word backward thus showing disrespect without intent. Allah read backward sounds the same and sounds like the Arabic word for kosher when read backwards.

I have in the past made the error of not skipping the O. I wish not to repeat the error now that I know better. (While one is in a spiritual condition one dose not wish to confuse words)
