In June of 1914 he and his wife were killed in Serbia by serb nationalist. This started WWI.

As far as I know, there was no henocide of Jews in WWI.

Official henocide started on Nov 9, 1938 (Cristallnacht) and ended in May 1945 (when Soviet army took Berlin and freed Jews from death camps in Germany and Poland.)

But, of course, anti- and pro-simetism (as any other nationalism, racism, etc.) was alway around.
