We are responsible for a lot of stuff. I agree. Of course, the majority of nations on earth have many more skeletons in the closet than we do. But that doesn't excuse Indian genocides and Mexican invasions, etc. etc. So I think apologizing is a great idea in and of itself, but I don't think it would help the terrorist situation much. They're upset with what we're currently doing, too, and I don't see foriegn intervention/aid coming to an end.
