I Use Music To Understand A Lot Of Things

Interesting comparison Alan. I believe music holds secrets of the universe but if you tell others I said it I'll deny :)

On a serious note, music helps me understand myself better than anything else, including this silly talk about neurons. And self-understanding is a fundamental requirement to understand everything else. I find it interesting that geniuses like Mozart and Bach had a deep faith in God despite their stupendous IQs. I think only stupid people would say that you have to be stupid to believe in God.
