There has been talk about upgrading security across many areas to help ensure anti-terrorists actions.

It has also been told, by our President and other members of our government that the American people should be in a "heightened state of awareness". Do I take this to mean that we should be on the lookout for conspicuous behavior, or expect the same type of terrorist activity that the Middle-East is experiencing? (By the way I DO NOT consider what happened in Washington & New York to be of the same class of terrorism)

I personally are willing to accept the steps taken, even if it happens to invade my privacy a bit, to ensure our safety. This is not just about me, this is about all of us.

I would not like if someone were listening in on my cellular conversation, but if it was known that terrorist activity was being suspected on the cellular network I was using, then I'm all for it. I would imagine that the Internet, to some capacity, will be monitored as well.

If this monitoring activity were to exist, then a side effect of this activity may effect things like drug trafficking, organized crime, and conspiracy to commit other heinous acts.

So be it.
