I only meant to demonstrate that we should not forgo instincts to survive, relying on God to save us from various perils.

I think most agree we all have free will. How we got the free will is debateable (from bio, from God, from aliens), but while debating it, row the damn boat towards the shore so you can live on to debate another day.
