Apparently you never heard of imperialism, Marxism, the superiority of the Arian race, to mention some of the most evil ideologies in our recent history. Watch out for more to come as science and materialism become the world's official religion.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that getting rid of religion will cause a big drop in fanaticism. Rest assured that people with tendency to be fanatical will find another subject. Religion just happens to be handy, that's all. Also, don't lose sight that religion is the only ideology that tries to teach people the importance of love. If they're too slow to learn, religion is certainly not to be blamed.

As he was dying on the cross, Jesus Christ asked God to forgive his enemies for they didn't realize what they were doing. Myth or truth, I think those words alone have the power to change the world, if only people meditated on them more often.
