Mars: Inhospitable to life.

Earth: Very Hospitable to life.

Earth Life: Very inhospitable to itself.



So I suppose on Earth we have an hostile population on a welcoming planet, but on Mars we would have a hostile population on a hostile planet.

Actually right now I'm in the process of writing a short novel where we send our best and brightest to colonize another world, and they kill each other off en route. :) Oh yeah, it's quality work.
