My answer to the question of "where did [God/the universe] come from" is to get rid of the concept of "coming from" altogether. I'm not sure what time is but I'm sure that it is not what we think it is. Things don't "come from", they simply "exist". Past and future are creations of our minds, not attributes of the physical universe. If you didn't have the ability to remember, the past would not exist. If you didn't have the ability to imagine, the future would not exist. A thinking creature that is only concerned about what is real knows nothing about time. Everything that exists, exists "now". What does not exist in the "now" only exists in your mind.

So get rid of your misleading notions about the present and the future being real, and you'll suddently understand where God/the universe came from: nowhere.

Have fun
