From different than chicken animal? How different? Why do you insist that infinite chain adult-egg-adult-egg should be broken exactly in egg-adult link to define chicken? That egg you claim to be first obviousely came from mother (which was more or less chicken too). There is NO criteria to say: this is red, not an orange.

Also, there is no criteria to say that "adults come from eggs" is better logic than "eggs come from adults". Both statements are true.

By the way, adult chicken is more distinguishable from another adult bird (pre-chicken, for example) than two eggs they came from. So, from practical point of view adult chicken came first. (As more easily identifiable change).

Again, it is senseless question unless you DEFINE EXACTLY what you call "chicken", "chicken egg", othervise one may use arbitrary criteria to come up with either answer.
