Interesting than many animals also have emotions, and that emotions seem to be developed by evolution as useful for survival traits. For example, shoving anger in a competition (say, for mate or for food) may result in one competitor giving up and thus may save both from deadly/ damaging fight. Or showing signs of love/care to mate may result in being accepted sooner/easier thus leading to higher probability to pass genes (including genes of "love/care" itself).
