: Hello, speaking of meads and eyepieces, I'm looking for info on what power is reasonable for the mead reflector 4.5 inch (f/8) 900mm focal lenth tube

The most power (maximum of resolution) will be 150-200, so it is 5-7 mm (0.25") focal length of eyepiece. Another magnification (maximum of details) should be 80-100 - 12.5 mm (0.5") Minimal magnification (maximal contrast for globular objects) is 15, it means eyepiece with focal length 56 mm (2")

So you need in al least two additional eyepieces (twice more and less in focal length of yours)
