The International Star Registry Is A Fraud!

The only organization that officially names stars, such that astronomers actually use the names, is the International Astronomical Union. They don't name stars after people; rather, stars have names like HD 223960. Feel free to spend money on the International Star Registry, but be aware that you are only buying a nice-looking certificate.
