Kocab is too small to become a supernova. The star need at least 20 solar mass to become supernova. Since Kocab is an orange giant like Alderbaran, it is much smaller than Betelguese or Antares. Best bet is that Kocab will shed it outer layer to form plantary nebula and become white dwarf star. |
