: Is there anyone out there who has any experience with : Scanner 10x50 binoculars. They are made in Japan, but : are they any good? Or, does anyone have any other : great recommendations? I believe the Bausch & Lomb : Legacy series 10x50 is outstanding for the price.

I personally use Minolta 12x50 Standard XL, which I believe are outstanding.

I know of at least one astronomy club which recommends the Minolta 10x50 XL, which is their favorite.

The optics are excellent, however the 12x do require a tripod for steady viewing. I would get the 10x50 Minolta, have seen them online for 149.00.
